Electric Frankenstein - 13 years, over 100 record releases, and more! EF has almost single-handedly returned rock to its most basic and savage roots, the way it was meant to be. They have been receiving international acclaim for their exciting brand of Punk Rock and Roll, done with the great intensity of such bands as the Stooges, MC5, Dead Boys, NY Dolls, Damned, Black Flag, Misfits, AC/DC, Kiss, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, etc. In addition to playing the most dynamic, ravenous, and menacing rock you've ever heard, EF recognizes the importance of integrity. From giving proper nods to the architects of street-level rock (Iggy and the Stooges, Dead Boys, AC/DC), to fiercely supporting DIY labels to their constant efforts to put fans first ahead of profit, EF is championing the cause to bring Rock back to the people and out of the hands of corporations. EF aren't young or pretty, and in case you haven't noticed neither is Real Rock & Roll. EF aren't here to be your girlfriend, they're here to ROCK! While stupid critics might say 'but, it's only rock n roll, its nothing new', EF fans are saying "Damn, right!" as they embrace the best of what's loud, fast, and rules from the last 30 years distilled down to one single organism. EF are one a mission to revitalize Rock & Roll and save people from the boredom of "alternative music". EF shows are intense, exciting, and inspiring.
Electric Frankenstein is a four piece entity dedicated to playing loud, aggressive, and melodic Punk Rock and Roll music that recalls a time when people wrote real songs that were truly memorable. Songs that made a difference to your life once you heard them, changing your perspective forever. Remember the first time that you heard the Dead Boys, the Damned, the Ramones, the Weirdos, the Germs, the Avengers, the Misfits, Black Flag, or any of your other favorites? The World felt ready to explode! Everything else soon sounded like shit. Remember when the latest singles you bought meant so much that you got into fist fights with losers who made fun of "your music"? You kicked their ass. Well, that time is here now. With first such bands as Poison Idea, Dwarves, The Action Swingers, Lazy Cowgirls; next, New Bomb Turks, The Humpers, DGeneration, and now Electric Frankenstein, you have to come out of your little nest and once again feel the immanent chaos. Suddenly, its no longer safe; we're playing for keeps! Time to spell Rock with a capitol 'R' again, and don't forget the Roll! Like one of EF’s songs says, "A Little Bit of Yesterday, A Whole Lot of the Future Now!".
Electric Frankenstein, like its namesake, is a monster that knows how to make trouble with electricity. It is composed of:
Steve Miller-- deranged undertaker, singer and lead guitar player. He of the possessed stage-presence, his flexing vocal cords give voice to EF's thoughts. This guitar butcher lends his ripping leads, devastating hooks, and pounding chords with surgical precision, operating on the Electric Frankenstein audience's brain cells. He has also sung in Crash Street Kids, Dead Planet Babies, Cherry Thirteen, and others.
Sal Canzonieri -- mad scientist and rhythm guitar player. His crashing chords, buzzsaw guitar sounds, and angry presence help shape the sound of Electric Frankenstein. Late of NYC space rock cult band, The Thing, he has also played in the Doom Patrol and Crimson Gash.
Bill Gill -- rampaging maniac and bass player. With his breath-taking bass tones, bottom heavy jack-hammer notes, and menacing looks, he is ready to provide a firm foundation to Electric Frankenstein's rhythm section. He has played with The High School Sweethearts, Gillmen, and The Tombs Tones.
John Steele -- maniac monster and drummer. His deadly twirling sticks and pulverizing foot pedal pound out the power beats necessary to mesmerize those that dare to listen, providing the booming thunder rhythms that awakens the discerning Electric Frankenstein listener. He has also played with The High School Sweethearts, Voice of Doom, and other bands.
